(Where the wire twists are).Ĩ) Feed the 2 colors of 10-14awg from the light hole to the AC hole (where the 120v wire is coming into AC).ĩ) Unscrew the 12v wire twists by the light, attach the (stripped) ends of the 2 color 10-14awg wire to the positive and negative. Takes some wiggling and moving of insulating tape.ħ) Unscrew a nearby light, pull out the wiring until you see the main 12v connection wires. (Just to be safe)Ģ) Unscrew the screws from the AC cover (10 screws)Ĥ) Unscrew all the screws attached to the control box that will be revealed (the only thing with wires going to it)ĥ) Unplug the existing wiring and remove the wire twists and electrical tape from the 120v wires to disconnect them.Ħ) Remove the old control box. My camper is a brand new 2021.ġ) Turn off the main breakers, pull the fuses, and disconnect the battery. It was not wired with an existing thermostat or with a 12v supply already attached. My Dometic AC had the manual nob controls on the ceiling. The following is an explanation of the steps I did to complete this install.
